The Grainger Institute for Engineering presents Dr. David J. Hemker as our inaugural keynote speaker for the Semiconductor Science Initiative Seminar Series at the College of Engineering.

Dr. Hemker has an illustrious technology and management career in the semiconductor equipment industry -- working with such market leaders as Applied Materials and Lam Research -- after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at UW-Madison and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Stanford University. At the presentation, Dr. Hemker will share his insights into innovations at the cutting edge of semiconductor manufacturing and will field questions from the audience about his experiences, and offer advice on how we can thrive in the new era.
