FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - (March 10, 2022)
MILWAUKEE, WI -- It was announced today that Alan Yeung, a former Foxconn official, will publish a memoir entitled “Flying Eagle” on March 18, 2022.
With “Flying Eagle,” Yeung tells the story of how Chairman Terry Gou decided to partner with the Trump administration to reshore manu-facturing to America. It describes key actions and events that shaped Foxconn’s investment and site selection decisions.
With anecdotes and behind-the-scenes accounts, “Flying Eagle” promises to offer a stunningly fresh narrative on one of the most controversial business and investment decisions of our time – the nearly impossible feat of bringing back an industry that Steve Jobs and others said had left America for good and would never come back.
From Shenzhen to Washington, from Taipei to Osaka, and across a plethora of U.S. states, Yeung retraces his journey to the White House and U.S. Capitol, recounting what went on with those who contended for the mega project. Yeung recalls his days traversing state capitals and small towns in America’s heartland in search of the perfect location to build a global technology hub.
“Flying Eagle” depicts the first phase of Foxconn’s multibillion-dollar investment project in Wisconsin, and reveals the tireless and patriotic efforts by many to reshore electronic supply chains and create jobs in the United States. It fills the gap of knowledge and offers new perspective to unanswered questions, e.g. Why Foxconn in America, Why Wisconsin?
The book will be published simultaneously in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, and Japan by Amazon /Centiron, and will be available in paperback and eBook formats and via Kindle Unlimited.
